Happy Birthday Teeri!!!

I probably shouldn't post during nap-time. I'm way too whiney.

September 12th is my precious son, Teeri's birthday. He is 28. He's old. ;-)

He was due on the 3rd, that's nine days ago, coincidentally, the calendar that year was the same as this year, and the third was Labor Day, I still get a chuckle out of that and that memory went to the permanent storage part of my brain, because I can still hear the nurse telling me the date and still see the calendar stuck to the counter top, with the red 3 in September and remember asking the nurse why it was red, and being absolutely delighted when she told me, "Labor Day". She was not so amused, I'm sure it happened many times each year to her but it happened only once to me.

Anyway, at my appt. the week before Labor Day, the baby, in those days we didn't know the gender before the birth, was breach, head-up, but not dropped and I was told that if it didn't turn before I went into labor, I would probably have a Cesarean. I did not have to make another appt. because I was due in a few days, so I just went home and waited, and waited, and answered the phone with,"No baby, yet.". It seemed to me that Trevor moved a lot before he was born, but I had nothing to compare to and "a lot" is relative , but, on the 8th or 9th I watched and felt the baby do a slow, steady somersault. Very weird!
He was born at 6:35 am after 7 hours of labor; not bad for a first baby.

Teeri was, and is, one of my favorite people on earth from the second he was born. He is an "old soul", he always knows the right thing to say and do and is goes out of his way to be respectful. He is hilarious, his humor is silly and dry at the same time, but rarely at the expense of others. He is hard working and ambitious, he put himself through college at a top-ranked school by working as a waiter, where his personable and entertaining nature helped him with tips.

May your 29th year be filled with love and successes.
